Hobbity Hole and Sinister Statue

So last night I finally had enough gold to pick up my Hobbit hole - I had one a while ago, but due to not being on much it was ‘foreclosed’ on and I lost everything in it (wasn’t able to get back in time before Escrow ended); This is a pretty good hole, not too big and not too small; though I wish that the Small Bed furniture item fit into a Small Furniture slot :/ - my warg tropy takes up a large spot, as does my small table; heck, I would love it if my warg trophy was a small outdoor piece instead of a large furniture piece.

Didn’t do much else last night - or the past few days; I am sitting on quite a few Fellowship quests and quests above my level [almsot a full log] so its a pain advancing :/.

Heres a picture of my Hobbit hole entrance room:

Exploration; Rivendell; Level Up

Last night I took time and, while completing some minor kill quests, I explored quite a bit of Evendim - I also managed to get a side by port to Rivendell after (*Trumpet*) Getting my normal Pony!

I started out by just killing a bunch of Bears and Looters (The bears were quest related, the Bandits drop lots of loot and Rep items for the Wardens) North of Ost Forod, I then decided to head over to Evemere and get some of the tribemen downed for more rep items and loot - as well as trying to follow along on the Treasure Hunt quest chain.

I managed to find another marker surrounded by Looters, with a few NPC’s standing nearby talking about how futile it was - lending a hand didn’t, sadly, help much. There were just too many looters and the NPC’s weren’t very powerful (in my eyes at least); I tried once w/ the captain helping but he died [failing the quest] then once without him [which got me defeated]. After this experience I decided to try for the Goblins purported to be North of Ost Forod but I couldn’t for the life of me find them, I found a bunch to the west towards the North Downs but thats about it - gotta look harder.

Later in the night a Kin member forwarded me some Gold and took me to get my real pony (well, the free Bree Pony is ‘real’ but is a bit slower paced) - I failed the second delivery once by accidentally dismounting (yeah, I said yes and everything :/) in Bree instead of Michel Delving; A small pool of water got me on the delivery to Othrikar - then it took me about 6 tries to run the circuit before finishing and getting the Basic Riding skill… but I got my pony! At the end of this, 2 kin members who were helping me a bit ported to Rivendell and I piggy backed along since I had a few intro quests to the area. I had been there in Head Start Open Beta but with all of the changes/updates since then the horse route to there was lost at some point.

Here are some screenshots of the night:

Meeting Frodo Baggins

As you can see, towards the end my Humble Hobbit met the illustrious Frodo Baggins himself! My laptops video card can’t really render Rivendell in all of its glory, but it was still a momentous occasion for me.

2 more levels until my next benchmark at 40, but the journey there is so awesome; I just wish I had thought to finish out Journeyman Woodworker when I had tons of Ash wood - now I have to wander low level zones to get enough to make up about 400pts (I don’t think I was hit by the bug that took away crafting XP).

Have a good day and see you in Middle Earth!

Adventuring; Level Up!

So today I did a bunch of adventuring, mainly in Evendim (with stops back to Michel Delving for AH & Vendors being right next to each other, and Esteldin for Superior Work benches right next to a bank).

I took the time to enjoy some of the wonderful sights: Evendim Ruins

Riding my Bree Pony around Evendim was satisfying if hairy at times: Crossing a bridge, Me and my pony

I even ventured up to Forochel.. though I probably should stay away from there for a while: Oliphaunts!

I was pretty happy to hit 36 tonight, it has been a loong time in coming; I look forward to eventually getting to Moria - but there is such a long journey full of all sorts of things that I want to do first :)

It is after 1am here now so I am going to hit the sack, maybe more detailed notes will come with future posts.

First Post of (hopefully) many

Just getting in my first post on this site :) - I hopefully plan on updating this blog with the wonderful adventures I take throughout middle earth; I will be sure to post different character experiences as that character, and will also put some RP style posting in.

Having been a member of the game and community since Early Beta I am excited to see more options to bring our community close together.

I hope my hobbit (and other) adventures sit well with you all!
