Upon joining LOTRO I was a poor little Tolkien lore noob, and so blindly I created my first beloved character, Findaran, having a concept of a direction with his background, which included making him a Dúnedain kinsman. All was well, my friends played along with the idea, no one really had any issues with it, and I learned quite abit.
However, I began to study more Middle-Earth lore and mythology by reading The Silmarillion and revisiting the trilogy of The Lord of the Rings. It was then that I learned of a few follies I had made, a very unfortunate mistep in the shaping of my character, Findaran. Not only is his name Sindarin for Lord of Hair ( roughly translated), but his eyes are a dark green in the game, not the traditional grey that marks a Dúnedain true. I was hopeful that I could have it changed for me by a GM, yet to my dismay it simply isn’t possible, the only appearance mods are those available at the barber, perhaps I might have the option someday!
So, if you happen to see Findaran please “pretend” he has a set of grey eyes to mark him a Man of Westernesse. Also if you squint real hard, they almost look dark grey!
