As a LOTRO gamer and a web consultant who uses Wordpress as the preferred CMS it would be really nice if there where a free downloadable version of the LOTRO theme desgned by Aylwyne. The kinship I am in, Freedom Fighters, is currently building a kin site using Wordpress but finding a theme that can work, a cookie cutter theme, that portrays the LOTRO image.

As this is currently not available, the kin will be working on designing their own theme to use complete with custom in game graphics. One of the items important to the kin is actually make it look like LOTRO and give that presence that the Freedom Fighters are an active kin. The site hopefully portray the various aspect the kin accels in: Raiding, Questing, PVP and more.

I have recently moved kins and still feel a tad weird about. I have been playing with the same group people since the beginning, most went to the same kin as I, and being a noob in this kin is somewhat refreshing. The Freedom Fighters on the Silverlode server is my new home and upon entering I recieved my radiance gloves in the easiest FG run ever and the Memorial Plaque. Not a bad bonus. This weekend though I will be running the Watcher for the first time and hopefully it all goes well. Better get back to work and do something instead of messing around on My LOTRO.

I am still messing around waiting for b7 to download and found this video gem “Captains of War” on the MyLOTRO Community Spotlight. It is pretty awesome and really shows some cool imagination using in game video. Check it out!

Man my brain is wupped and all I want to is space out to LOTRO and wind down. But not tonight since the download is happening right now and I am stuck just staring at the screen for at least another 30 minutes. While I don’t mind getting the upgrade, on a night like tonight it would just be easier to not download. Seeing I am not even on that book yet, thank god the lag is going to be horrid in there, I was just going to hunt down some stuff for book 4, volume 2.

In cooler news. Last night was the first time I ever equipped a shield on my champ. After playing since Sept of 07 it was about time and have to say that I pleased with the look at feel. A few nights ago I switched up my normal Peerless Hammers for a legendary spear and enjoyed the character motions with the weapon. It took me a few days to learn its a 1 handed weapon. So I equipped the shield and glad I saved that one I found. It’s a sweet elven looking shield and its big. Big like Biggs

If things go well I may go shield for most of the time since it is a lot different than the two handed set up. The skill look different and the added shield armour may help me stay alive better in the Moors. I also been playing around with different color schemes and Champ Radiance gear. So far the burgundy looks the best and with the spear, shield and bow setup it looks pretty wicked if you ask me.

It seems to have taken forever to get some gear that looks good and is bad ass. I want the champ rift gear for an outfit. Well wanted for armour set but MoM came our before I could get a set. Rift gear is wicked and need to get back in the rift and run more big instances. Wouldn’t mind leading them but many don’t listen to my because I am unconventional

Hopefully this download hurries and I won’t have to kill time by speaking about nothing on my blog and boring the world if they so happened to pass through this direction. Speaking of that it would be nice to know some traffic numbers on this site. Or if it is even possible to generate traffic on this site. There are some free stat companies I can check into and see if I can add some code to a post and the get the program to work. Probably best option since LOTRO doesn’t allow for plugins to uploaded and/or hasn’t upgraded to Wordpress 2.7.1. Probably save that for another post.

KO3A has been going through some changes and part of what is happening is that we are running out of high level characters when multiple kin fellowships form. Since being high level takes so darn long to achieve most of us plain mains in Moria, except for a few.

That is why I have trying to level my minstrel as fast as possible. I got lvl 42 medium armor, 42 shield and a 42 sword all crafted by kin or myself. It really makes a difference on a minstrels survivability unlike my champ which had ghetto gear until he GM’d on weaponsmith. So the alt gets a lot better treatment and most of the time I can do quests at least two levels higher than myself; good xp that way.

Now I am to the point of running around Forochel and Angmar trying to get things done. But traveling is pain in the butt too. Last night I was asked why a lvl 44 doesn’t have a horse yet. My response was that “I rob this toon to feed my main”. Pretty much the gist, anyone who knows me knows I tend to die and have repair bills. Finding trouble is pretty easy and aggroing everything around me is fun but expensive.

Maybe lvl 45 tonight…

There are times when play LOTRO that I encounter a not so friendly over excited individual who is anxious to jump all over someone just because something happens. For me, when I play LOTRO is a time to relax from the daily work grind and have some just in imagination land and kill monsters. Anyone who has played with me knows that I like to kill things. Its beats standing around doing nothing but I am liken the in game band music (save that for another blog).

The other afternoon I went out with a raid in the Rift, not to scary at lvl 60 I might add, and at the Balrog my machine froze; think it has something to do with the voice app I’m using. After rebooting and loosing all audio, I rejoined for the fight. Sorta discomboozeled when spawnging all of a sudden I was getting my ass chewed in game chat and I guess on voice as well. I could see his voice chat recognition going crazy.

Now that just pissed me off. What the hell was the problem anyway? I mean, I am not someone’s kid you can just yell at and think they can get away with it. If this was real life I bet that person would get his panties all in bunch and fly off the handle because bad things can happen. I like this quote, “you better ease up out my face before something bad happens to it”. Or something like that, sorta doesn’t make sense because it is implying that my face will get injured. Hmmm, better work on that before I use it and confuse everybody

Gaming should be about having fun and talking a load off from normal day to day living in my opinion. Not a place to be an ass to other people because they are new, or something happened to their pc or don’t follow perfect directions. We are all human and just because you are progamer doesn’t mean everyone should be.

Keep it interesting and keep it real and don’t be so quick to report; that is also weak ass stuff but another day for that topic.

Back in Sept 08 my gaming computer’s video card went T.U. and since then I have been using my roomies pc to keep up with leveling. So with a new influx of cash, definitely not LOTRO loot as that is hard to come by, I went out and bought some goodies for the gaming machine.

It started with a new video card and power supply, had to get a power supply just to run the card. What kind of card you may be wondering, if anyone is looking at this. It is a monster EVGA GTX 280 Superclocked Edition with 1g of Web 2.0 memory boombastic plague with SLI compatibility. All that just sounds cool but I won’t be able game tonight and test it out. By the time the client updated last night it was to late to game and had to sleep.

Oh almost forgot. I didn’t hook up the power correctly and it was booting and thought the motherboard was toast so I bought one of those to. 700 bucks later I am back up and running with a 450w power supply and a Asus mother board for sale. Any takers?

The other night my fellow Knight, Wambli, made me two critted versions of the Peerless Silver Mallorn Hammer. Being a person who likes pairs this was quite uber as well as awesome since the recipe requires Kindred standing in the Woodworkers Guild. These hammers are far better than the Second Aged Sword I have; by a long shot.

Right now the stats are displaying of the character side but if you want to check them out I am usually in Moria slaying monsters, hoping to lvl 60 tonight, wearing a Hannibal Lector mask and all black gear (old Moors stuff) looking crazy.

Being down in Oregon for the holidays prevents me from getting some good leveling in. Since getting some momentum on Biggs is has been hard to get back to leveling Musical. I would like to have a high level minstrel along with a champ. Deeds have been good on Biggs though but disappointed that some cannot be progressed to 11, mainly Justice and Valour. Ah well, must slay more enemies with better weapons

Here is what happens when you mess with KO3A

I know I have one of Wings of the Windlord but can’t seem to find it. Can’t wait to get to level 58 so I can start running stairs in hard mode. Did it as a 5 man on easy mode with two low levels (one being me) and no minstrel. KO3A kicks ass! Well a few more days and I will be rocking middle earth again and getting back out to the moors, wouldn’t mind getting another rank out there.

I have finally settled down and started to make some good progress with the new quests, deeds, weapons, levels and new gear. The last few days I primarily focused on getting some deeds done to help with the dying problem I still have and it has helped alot. 10 Justice, 10 Empathy, 10 Valour and a 9 Loyalty in there. Finally putting a few coins back in the pocket as well.

Last night a full KO3A group ran through the Stairs instance in easy mode, due to there was me at 56, 56 capt, and 57 burg. It was way cool because for some of us it was a first time there. Soon I will be level 58 and will be smashing through with KO3A getting all the gear in a rapid time period.

It is nice that good 6 man raids are available, even the 3 mans, because we had a hard time with, not having the largest members, of getting 12 high enough levels on. People do have real lifes so and we are spread out through the USA, and Canada. So kudos to LOTRO for figuring that out

Right now I am watching my beloved Seahawks play the NY Jets at home in a snow storm. My ticket is sitting on the dresser due the massive snow storm we are having and driving to Seattle from Marysville it a little rough on chains at 25 mph.

Ah well, that is life and I will jump back on Goingbigger and grab some more xp. Have some quests at Durin’s Way and 21st Hall to smash through.
