| About Us: In the year 1500 of the Second Age, Celebrimbor had begun the creation of the rings of power from the instruction of Sauron the Deciever, under the guise of Annatar, the Lord of Gifts. One hundred years after the rings of power were made Sauron forges the One Ring in Mount Doom as his fortress Barad-dur is completed. In the year 1693 of the Second Age, the Elves declare war upon Sauron and the three rings of power are hidden from him. Vilya, the most powerful of the three elvish rings is sent to be kept safe with Gil-Galad. The year is 1695 of the Second Age, Gil-Galad sends Elrond Half-Elven to Eregion as his lieutenant. Sauron attacks Eregion to take hold of the the lesser rings of power. Eregion is destroyed, but the elven rings remain hidden. Elrond and the remaining Noldor flee and establish Rivendell. Gil-Galad entrusts Elrond with the protection of Vilya. In the year 1700 of the Second Age, Elrond forms a secret kinship. This kinship is know simply as the "Guardians of Vilya". He charges this kin with the great task of battling the forces of the Dark Lord Sauron and at all costs keeping Vilya, the Ring of Air, safe from all dark powers in Middle-Earth. Upon the end of the Second Age and through most of the earlier Third Age of Middle-Earth the kinship had been made up of strictly elven-kind. With the passing of life ages and the growing threat in the east, Elrond has seen fit to have this kin of protectors to include, Elves, Men, and all other free peoples of Middle-Earth. Now with impending war upon all of us in Middle-Earth, Guardians of Vilya seeks to help all free peoples to hold back this coming storm and end the tyranny of the Sauron once and for all!
