Drenarb: Nice article. I totally didn't think about binding the mount/dismount option to another hotkey. I just have it in my hotbar, but now I can [...]

Logal444: Welcome to MyLotro! I understand how tough it can be for a developer to open themselves up as much as you guys do on here, [...]
Hi everyone, Ransroth here. I’m a Game Systems Engineer at Turbine, working on LOTRO. I plan to use this blog for any random things that I want to let people know about :).

I play on the production servers. A lot. I have several level-capped characters, a number of whom have completed all of v1 and v2 (I’m not including exact numbers in an attempt to preserve anonimity ).
Apparently I have a lot to learn about my.lotro.com though - I was wondering why I wasn’t getting any comments, and when looking for a way to get notified of comments, noticed they were all sitting in my moderation queue. Doh! How do I turn that “feature” off?
Well the forums get a lot more response from more players unless your posts get highlighted in some way on the general pages. This one is showing because it appeared on the general my.lotro.com page but many of us link straight to our player, character or kinship pages when we come to my.lotro.com so we wouldn’t see that
If you have something really important or interesting to tell us about whatever you are working on, how about a forum thread or dev notes?

I actually have a dev diary coming out in a bit on a different topic - but it’s a much bigger deal to put together one of those. I was thinking of using the blog for smaller things, not meriting a whole dev diary. Also, I was planning on sneaking a post to the forums when I post something of importance, so it shows up in the Dev Tracker there :).
I’m very tricky that way.

Welcome to Tolkemania ransroth… So you are going to play on the production severs right? Just to see how your work makes the game better?

I think maybe I found it. Maybe. Still no idea why I’m not getting email notifications about comments and such. Sigh.
