After a four month break (mainly caused by feeling guilty leaving my friends in WoW :P), I am back in Middle Earth and loving it! I haven’t felt so relaxed and enjoying playing in a long time. I’ll keep my WoW sub up since it’s not a problem financially and pop in every so often, but I totally want to spend my summer in Middle Earth!
I’ve decided to pretty much make Caladaer my main, even though I have no clue how to RP an elf well. She’s a Warden - which for me, is an amazing class. It’s all about micromanaging your gambits and keeping certain buffs/debuffs up. I love any class that requires me to really pay attention to my chains of abilities. And hey, it’s pretty awesome to smack big monsters with a shield!
RP-wise, I imagine Caladaer as a mid-aged elf who worked with the guard in Mirkwood - particularly against Sauron’s presence. She’s tough, but she’s really a softie who loves to dress nicely and fish in her spare time. Races like hobbits and dwarves amuse her. Men fascinate her with their self confidence. She has a bit of hopeless romantic in her since she’s never had a romantic relationship (from what I understand, elves have few but long-lived romantic entanglements). I should work more on her RP!
Last night, I played for a couple hours without questing at all! (Well, I finished up my last quest in Ered Luin since I’m a bit of a completionist). I was running around working on the summer fest achievements. I got the dwarf, elf and man dances, but I still need to do the pub run and get the hobbit dance. I also need to finish up the fishing daily - I fell asleep before I could get to it last night. Tonight’s not a gym night, so I should have some extra time to play.
