Although the quest tracker is useful for reminding you what objectives you have yet to complete, it can lack some of the more specific information such as where exactly you should be looking for those pottery shards or who wants you to find them in the first place. The quest log on the other hand will tell you everything, and thankfully there is an easy way to access the log is from the quest tracker itself!
Each quest in your quest tracker will have a gold ring next to it, and by clicking on that ring you can bring up the quest log for that specific quest. This way you can quickly and conveniently pull up those other pesky details you may have forgotten without having to search for the quest, or even just remove your finished task from the quest tracker to make room for others.

All I know is this system is way better than what we had before…which was nothing. Now I’m at least pointed in the direction and given a distance to the objective.
If I can’t find the objective once I’m within 60m of it, I don’t deserve to be on the quest.
Thanks guys!!!

Yes, since i have been back that is the biggest improvement i must say!
That being said.. on maybe 10% of the quests i see no pointer and no ring on the map.. and the dread of what it was like before fills my heart with a dark dread… but i get over it

I never used the non-existant system, but overall its a good system. I also like how the map is shaded for large portions telling you about where the monsters you need to kill are located. My only gripe now and that I cannot set a personal waypoint and color it with an onscreen arrow, it was one of the best things in SWG, and I would like to see something like it in LOTRO.

I can’t imagine playing without it (I joined after it was out of beta). Definitely nice job on the whole tracker.
I do agree with Aardvark, it would be nice to be able to put notes or other personal marks on our maps.
